Carew Castle Interesting : Michelin's recommendations

Bibendum
A good part of the castle as it is today dates from the late 13c/early 14C. However, the most surprising part is the north wing, which was begun in around 1558 by Sir John Perrot, supposed son of Henry VIII and Mary Berkeley, wife of Sir Thomas Perrot. The superb Elizabethan architecture, with its rows of high mullioned windows that reflect in the mill's pond, gives an image of the elegance of the age.
