Montacute House Recommended Recommended : Michelin's recommendations

This elegant three-storey Elizabethan house was probably built from 1597 to 1601 then modified in the 18C, redecorated in the 20C and finally bought by the National Trust. You can visit Lord Curzon's purple bedroom on the first floor and, on the second floor, the gallery of portraits loaned by the National Portrait Gallery. The formal gardens serve to embellish the architecture of the house.
