This museum lets visitors admire the rich colours and designs of the embroideries of the Dodecanese, Epiros, Crete and Skyros, and the variety of traditional costumes: the robust and sober garb of the nomadic Sarakatsan shepherds, the warm colours of Balkan Greece’s garments, the sumptuous embroideries of festival fineries bearing heavy silver embellishments, and the elegant respectable costumes of central Greece and the Peloponnese.
