Numismatic Museum
Numismatic Museum : Michelin's recommendations
It has 600,000 coins and medals, 2,000 of them gold and 4,000 of them silver. Greek coins are some of the oldest in the world: they were minted from the 7C B.C. You can admire the rare coins from Greek and Roman antiquity, from the Byzantine epoch, the Middle Ages and modern times. Note the collection of lead seals from the Byzantine epoch, a series of ancient and Byzantine weights, gems from various periods, ancient lead and bronze tokens and coin moulds.
