Kardamýli Travel guide
Kardamýli
: Michelin's recommendations
This green coastal village is a holiday resort and fishing port. Its old houses and churches cluster on the banks of a mountain stream. Kardamíli is dominated by a medieval wall and the delicately carved pointed belfry of the Church of Agios Spirídonas (13C). Beyond the village is the splendid Viros Gorge. The steep-sided canyon disappears into the Vassilikis forest and comes out at the sea north of Kardamíli. The descent is along a magnificent paved track.
