Things to see and do - Kythira
Leaving for Greece
Kythira Travel guide
Kythira : Michelin's recommendations
As you go into the capital of Cythera, you are dazzled by the immaculate whiteness of the walls, set off wonderfully by architectural detailing of Venetian origin. The main street leads to a rocky spur crowned by a citadel (early 16C). From its ramparts is a superb view of the twin bay of Kapsáli. Inside are four Byzantine churches. Outside the town, you can visit the little Archaeological Museum. Down below Hóra to the southeast is the little port of Kapsáli.
