Separated from the commercial harbour of Emborió by a long mole dotted with windmills, the little harbour of Mandráki is full of colourful little boats, caiques, pleasure craft and excursion boats, as well as hydroplanes. At the end of the mole stands St Nicholas' Tower, built by the knights in the 15C. Near it are two columns. According to tradition (probably erroneously), this was originally the site of the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
