Leaving for Greece
Kefalonia : Michelin's recommendations
Of rugged limestone, the largest of the Ionian Islands has jagged topography with peninsulas, rocky headlands, deep gulfs and sandy beaches. Lush and green near its shores, the landscape becomes more arid inland, while the beaches are very lively on its south coast. At 1 628m, the dark and wild Mount Ainos is one of the highest peaks in the Greek islands, known for its fir trees unique to the island.
