Variá : Michelin's recommendations

The Tériade Museum in Variá is exceptional both for its collections and the beauty of its location. At the entrance, a white building houses the Theófilos Museum, dedicated to a painter of naive art from Variá (1873-1934). The Tériade Museum Library stands at the heart of the olive grove and displays the work of Stratis Eleftheriadis-Tériade, born in Mitilíni in 1897. First an art critic in Paris, then a publisher, he created the "great books" containing texts illustrated by a painter (Picasso, Matisse, Giacometti, Fernand Léger, etc.).
