The easternmost of the Cyclades, Amorgos is a huge dolphin-shaped rock (between 2 and 6km wide and 35km long). Austere yet majestic, it is popular with walkers and lovers of unspoilt scenery. From the main town, Hora, head up to the monastery of Chozoviotissa, one of the most mystical places in the Aegean.
