Founded in 1711 and standing on a summit of the same name (the island’s highest point), the views from the monastery on a fine day take in Santorini and its caldera, and the neighbouring islands (Anafi, Ios). The library and cellars have a folklore and religious art (icons, manuscripts, vestments) museum.
