In a lovely setting looking onto the valley of Pleistos and Mount Kirphis, this sanctuary was visited by pilgrims heading for the sanctuary of Apollo. Of the original 6C BC temple, column bases and walls remain. A stylobate, column trunks, wall foundations, three Doric columns and an entablature with reliefs depicting combat against the Amazons recall an elegant marble rotonda built in the 4C BC. Only foundations remain of a later temple of Athena built at the same time.
