Terre-de-Bas is one of the most peaceful spots in the Antilles. No scooters, few tourists; it is the ideal place to enjoy nature and the beaches. The last remaining salako (a traditional 19C fishermen’s hat) makers continue to craft this curious item of headgear using bamboo and checked fabric.
