This ridge walk starts at the eastern end of Pompierre beach (approximately 1hr walk; water, hat and walking boots essential). The splendid view of the jagged coastline should not distract from exercising great care, especially if children come along. The walk ends at Grande-Anse beach, a fine strip of empty sand which is extremely dangerous for swimming (and is consequently forbidden).
