Time difference
There is a 7-hour time difference between Guatemala and the UK and Ireland in summer and a 6-hour time difference in winter. When it is 12 noon in Guatemala City, it is 7pm in London and Dublin in summer and 6pm in winter.
Documents
A passport valid for at least six months after your return is required for stays of up to 3 months. A visa is required for longer stays.
Health
Recommended vaccinations: DT Polio, typhoid and hepatitis A and B.
Anti-malaria medication is recommended.
Insurance is advisable (automatically provided by some bank cards).
