Formerly a synagogue, this building has had an eventful past. Built in the town centre, like the majority of other centres of worship, it was damaged during the earthquake of 1911. Rebuilt, it was desecrated during the Second World War and left abandoned. A few years later, it was converted into a conference centre and is now busy all year round. Medical congresses in particular are regularly held here.
