The Franciscan church or chapel of St Nicholas is the oldest building of Kecskemét. It was built in the 13C in a Gothic style, but was "restyled" according to Baroque tastes in the 18C. To the left of the church are all that remains of the chapel of St Michael, which was built before the Franciscan church.
