The Angel Pharmacy founded in 1595 (the date is controversial) exhibits many objects from its early days, such as pots of blue glass, enamelled faience, drawers for dried plants, containers for making preparations, and so on. The pots are decorated with an angel or a lion, depending on whether they belonged to this pharmacy or its competitor, the Lion Pharmacy, which opened in 1623. There is also a more recent item on display: the Bayer company book containing the formula for aspirin.
