It is worth spending some time in this Latin quarter, which, like that in Paris, has personality, colour and atmosphere. The eclectic-style József Attila University is named after the great poet, who was a student here. A musical fountain standing in the square plays tunes in spring and summer. It was built to mark the 100th anniversary of the tragic flood in 1879.
