The memorial, also known as the Garden of Ruins, is home to the foundations of a basilica, which was destroyed in 1601 when the Turks' gunpowder store exploded. 37 kings of Hungary have been crowned and 17 buried in this sacred place. The garden contains Roman, Gothic and Renaissance masonry. The sarcophagus near the entrance is that of the Hungarian prince, Géza.
