Tihany
: Michelin's recommendations
This unspoilt 5km-long peninsula juts out into Lake Balaton as if trying to reach the opposite shore. The small village of Tihany stands on a hill. Lower down, lavender fields encircle a 30ha inner lake, 25m above the level of Lake Balaton. This natural setting, criss-crossed by numerous paths, is also a major sanctuary for birdlife.
