The highest point in Hungary rises to 1014m. Marked by a rock painted in the country's colours (red, white and green), it commands a fine view of the region. A word of advice: climb up to the platform of the television tower for an even more extensive panorama. To the south lies the Great Plain and to the north, in fine weather, you will be able to see the mountains of Tatras. Those keen on skiing might be interested to learn that two slopes lead down from the top of Kékesteto.
