Seyðisfjörður, on the banks of the fjord of the same name, has a lot of potential as a tourist destination with its picturesque wooden houses, a river full of fish cascading into a lake, mountains with sparkling waterfalls and a technological curiosity, the oldest telegraph station in Iceland.
