Mumbai : Michelin's recommendations

Bombay, or Bom Baim (Good Bay) as it was known to the Portuguese, now bears the Marathi name of Mumbai. Originally an archipelago of seven marshy islands situated along the Gulf of Oman which is now a single land mass following the construction of polders, the city is now the economic capital of India, where skyscrapers overlook the neighbouring slums and shanty towns.
