Eklingji : Michelin's recommendations

Eklingji, a village standing in a rocky valley, is renowned for its Shiva temples. Bappa Rawal, the founder of Chittaurgarh in the 8C, is said to have followed the teachings of a hermit who encouraged him to devote his dynasty to the god Shiva in the form of Eklingji (lord of the linga). Since that time, the maharanas have been considered as the diwan (First Minister) of the god of Eklingji and every Monday, the day dedicated to Shiva, the maharana Arvind Singh heads to this village for the puja ceremony.
