The City Palace museum is a maze of palace buildings, corridors and staircases (visitors follow a signposted linear route). Head up the stairs and enter the museum through the first building on the left. The rooms to the right on the first floor house a collection of miniatures and weapons, including the armour of Pratap Singh, weighing 75kg, and his horse Chetak’s coat of mail, which is decorated with an elephant’s trunk intended to confuse and frighten the enemy’s mounts.
