The delightful enclosed garden of Saheliyon ki Bari has retained all its traditional charm. Designed in the early 18C for the ladies of the court and rearranged under Fateh Singh (late 19C), it is adorned with a beautiful pool embellished with fountains. Water spurts from the trunks of four marble elephants and a thin sheet of water falls from a chhatri in the middle of the basin. A metal bird stands on the top of the dome – it was once equipped with a mechanism that enabled it to flap its wings.
