The elegant Jag Niwas palace, the former summer residence of Jagat Singh II (18C), with its immaculately white walls, is now home to a luxury hotel – if you’re not staying here, it’s worth coming to eat in the very romantic restaurant. The palace on Jag Mandir island houses some interesting sculptures.
