This museum traces the history of Ubud’s artistic heritage, and also promotes its continuing flourishing; on show are traditional Balinese paintings (wayang), work by the Young Artists, a 1960s movement inspired by Dutch painter Arie Smit, and also mythological pictures by Lempad, a 20C Balinese artist and architect. Foreign works are represented: paintings (Miguel Covarrubias, Donald Friend), photography (Robert Koke), etc.
