Pangandaran Travel guide
Pangandaran : Michelin's recommendations
The isthmus on which Pangandaran, Java's principal seaside resort, is located runs through the Indian Ocean, its edges bordered with volcanic sand while its interior is covered with a protected forest. Although you should be wary of the currents, the most pleasant beach is Teluk Parigi, located on the western side. On Teluk Pangandaran on the other side, you can enjoy watching the fishermen at work. Little visible evidence remains of the tsunami that hit Pangandaran in 2006, killing 600 people, and the resort has quickly recovered.
