Ujung Kulon National Park Highly Recommended Highly Recommended Highly Recommended : Michelin's recommendations

Covering more than 750km2 of marshland and wooded ground in the southeast of Java, the park is the last preserve of the famous Javan Rhinoceros, which is heading for extinction, and of the impressive indigenous Bateng, thought to have been around since prehistoric times. Taman Nasional Ujung Kulon, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to an infinite variety of flora and fauna (panthers, crocodiles, monkeys, birds), as well as superb marine life. So don't forget your binoculars! However, don't set off without a guide (agenies in Labuan).
