The largest (340ha) and most touristy of the three islands, Trawangan has its own lively atmosphere. Lovers of peace and quiet should head elsewhere, this is a place for night owls, especially in high season! Most development has taken place on the southeast coast, which is ideal for swimming and snorkelling. The more isolated northeast coast also has the island’s best beach, off which lie superb coral reefs.
