This Centre retraces the history of the tweed industry, its collapse in 1699 due to government restrictions on exports and its recovery in the 19C mainly due to the efforts of philanthropists Ernest and Alice Hart. Visitors can see weaving demonstrations and some products (blankets, jumpers, etc.) are on sale.
