Bibendum
The library, founded by Archbishop Robinson in 1771, is situated in a building designed by Thomas Cooley; the Greek inscription on the front means "soothing of the mind". The library possesses a copy of Gulliver's Travels, annotated by Swift and numerous old books and manuscripts. It houses the Rokeby collection of 18C engravings and historical maps, including a full set of Ordnance Survey maps of the 32 counties of Ireland (1838 edition).
