Cavan County Museum
Cavan County Museum : Michelin's recommendations
The museum retraces the history of County Cavan. Objects from the Stone Age to the Middle Ages, discovered during archaeological digs, are on display, such as a three-faced head from the Roman-Celtic period called the Corleck head and a 1,000 year old dugout canoe. Various galleries demonstrate popular traditions, the role of the Gaelic Athletic Association, as well as the banners and sashes of the different Irish orders decorated with religious scenes.
