Carrick : Michelin's recommendations
One of the highlights of the village of Carrick, or Carig, is its church's medieval baptismal fonts decorated with interlacing. This charming little town guards the entrance to the small Bannow Peninsula, a lovely region of rolling hills between Bannow Bay and Ballyteige Bay. The road ends at Bannow Island, the first site of the landing of the Normans in 1169.
