Hore Abbey : Michelin's recommendations
In 1272, monks from Mellifont founded Hore Abbey, the last Cistercian institution to be built in Ireland. The ruins date back primarily to the 13C. The cruciform church comprised, in addition to the chancel, a nave with aisles and two chapels to the east of each transept.
