Castletownshend : Michelin's recommendations
The steep main street of this tiny village leads down to the river where the little pier offers views of the Castle Haven anchorage on the opposite bank. The church of St-Barrahane (Anglican) stands on a vantage point atop four flights of steps at the bottom of Main Street; the stained-glass window depicting the Nativity was designed by Harry Clarke.
