County Museum
: Michelin's recommendations
The museum details the history of the southern district of County Tipperary, from the Stone Age up to the present day. On display are Roman coins found in Clonmel, the scrap-book showing the Young Irelander's trial, which took place in Clonmel in 1848 and the uniform jacket of the Royal Irish Regiment, whose barracks were in Clonmel until it was disbanded in 1922. Paintings by Irish artists are also exhibited.
