Cobh Interesting : Michelin's recommendations

The development of Cobh (pronounced Cove) began at the end of the 18C when the port of Cork became the home port for English ships engaged in the American War of Independence, and later in the battles against France. Neo-Gothic villas and Italianate buildings were put up in the early 19C when the town was renowned as a health spa. Up until the sixties, the town was a port of call for the great transatlantic liners.
