Elizabethan Fort Interesting : Michelin's recommendations

Bibendum
This fort was built around 1590 in order to «intimidate the citizens of Cork». It was rebuilt in 1624, turned into a prison in 1835 and burnt down in 1922 by Republican forces before they left the city. The extensive parapets provide one of the best vantage points overlooking the city.
