This ruined castle stands on a strategic site, on a headland overhanging Sheep Haven's Bay. It is protected by the sea, and is separated from the mainland by a cut in the rock. A fortified wall protects the four-storey keep to which an L-shaped building, two round towers and a Great Hall were subsequently added.
