An old sandstone cross stands in the centre of this quiet village. It is decorated with motifs and biblical scenes from the New Testament on the east face and Old Testament on the west face. It cam from a monastery nearby, said to have been founded by St Patrick. Its history is traced at the Heritage Centre, housed in the nearby former primary school.
