This elegant adaptation of the Temple of Vesta in Tivoli, built from local basalt and covered in Ballycastle sandstone, is perched on the cliff edge. This classic rotunda was built in 1785 in the memory of Mrs Mussenden, the bishop's cousin. The bishop used the building as a library and allowed the local catholic priest to say mass in its basement. There is a fine view from here of the estuary and beaches.
