St Michan's Church Interesting : Michelin's recommendations

Bibendum
Founded in 1095 by the Danes, the church was later rebuilt. The current building, in grey stone, dates from 1685. Handel is said to have composed his famous Messiah on the organ. The crypt contains mummified bodies, which were conserved not, as was claimed for a long time, by the whisky fumes from the Jameson distillery close but by the nature of the soil.
