Lough Erne Recommended Recommended : Michelin's recommendations

Bibendum
The damp and wooded Fermanagh Lakeland used to be the most isolated region of a province that was itself remote. More accessible nowadays, it is popular with fishermen. The River Erne flows into Lough Erne, which is bisected by a gully near Inniskillen: the labyrinthine course of Upper Lough Erne is studded with a multitude of islands and pervaded with sinuous canals; Lower Lough Erne is a magnificent stretch of water (8km at its widest point) with a more orderly string of islands.
