The park is made up of wooded sections, peat bogs, rocky outcrops and a multitude of small lakes and rivers. The visitors' centre near the garden and aviary is the best place to find information on Antrim's glens. A 30min walk takes you to the waterfall (Ess na Larach), which hurtles down a wooded gorge eroded by the River Glenariff. The footpath is perfect for a pleasant walk overlooking the river.
