Round clock tower and cross
Round clock tower and cross
: Michelin's recommendations
Different relics of the monastery still remain in the cemetery of the Anglican Church of St. Columba. The round tower, built before 1076, no longer has its conical cap and the heads carved on the doorway are severely weathered. Nearby stands the Southern Cross, depicting biblical scenes. It was probably erected in the 9C. To the south of the church stands an unfinished cross with bare panels and the Crucifixion on one side.
