Dunmore Cove, one of the biggest in Ireland, has some fascinating formations. At the Visitor Centre there is an explanation of this geological formation and its history. In 928 the Vikings massacred some 1 000 people in this place. Legend has it to be one of the three darkest places in Ireland.
