Killough : Michelin's recommendations
A broad central avenue runs through this quiet and attractive village, set on the south shore of a deep inlet. In the 17C, it was known as Port St Anne, in honour of Anne Hamilton, wife of Michael Ward, who developed the port to facilitate the export of lead and agricultural produce from his estates.
